Back in June this year I had a nice 3-day-trip to Rome with 2 other students and a teacher as part of a talent-advancement. As Trenitalia messed around we had a delay of some hours which interfered with our schedule. At least I had the chance of taking some photos at the trainstation:)

But still we had time to see some of the Buildings & Places Rome is famous for.
The first day we visited the Vittoriano where I had the chance to do some nice panoramas

When you visit the Vittariano, mind that on the back side there a elevator that brings you up to the very top. Costs some bucks, but in my opinion it’s worth it:

rome 06 - a HDR panorama

rome 08 - one of my favourites

rome 09 - The Temple of Saturn
After the Vittariano we had a short walk to the Colosseo – which really impressed me! If you ever go to rome, don’t miss it!

rome 10 - a panorama from inside the Colosseum

rome 11 - The slaves that had to do the gladiatorial games left these signs on the wall
Afterwards we decied to visit the Forum Romanum which gave me the possibility of taking a photo of the Circo Massimo

I also took photos of some small cliffs and rocks inside the Forum:

Don’t really remember where I took the following one

All I know is that I also processed it as an HDR image which is better imho

We slept in the Hotel Clarin – which is totally ok I think. The room was small but nice and the breakfast was great as well.
The next day we decided to go to the Vatican

If you are in the Vatican take the stairs up the St.Peter’s Basilica - you won’t regret it

After the Vatican we had lunch and went to the Castel San’t Angelo. If you go there, grab yourself an audioguide – it gives you much information and is available in many languages!

That’s most of what I’ve seen in Rome. It’s a wonderful city and I sure want to go there again!
Yours,
